Whenever I click on the link from the documentation to the Roles & Capabilities page, it redirects to the homepage.
Unless I’m not understanding your question, when I click on that URL, it does NOT redirect me to the “homepage”!
It’s a broken link in the official WordPress documentation. It’s not supposed to redirect to the homepage but it does.
Edit: Strange, it works in Chrome but in FireFox it redirects to the homepage.
