I have a plugin that seems to be forcing me to update it. If I try to use the plugin, the page will auto scroll to the top where the message is that the plugin needs an update. So it’s not allowing me from using the plugin.
Is there a way to take this plugin and modify it or change it so that it’s out of the loop essentially. So that it won’t recognize that there’s an update and force it upon me? I tried changing the name of the plugin in the PHP comments. Didn’t resolve the problem. I tried changing the name of the plugin folder (this crashed the site) – not sure what else I can do? How can I stop it from recognizing that there’s a forced update? My website is essentially useless without it.
This is in regards to plugin Posts 2 Posts – it has not been supported by the author for a long time although someone else has taken it upon themselves to make an update to the plugin.
The plugin and site worked perfectly fine up until this plugin update.
