I need help with Canonical URL redirection.
I’m using Redirection plugin and sometimes that doesn’t work properly I think.
Let me tell you with some examples –
Let’s say my domain is examp,e.org and a page exampple.org/india
We create canonical URL for example.org/india is “example.org/india/helpline-number”
So to use 301 redirect, example.org/india will be my source URL and example.org/india/helpline-number will be my target URL
In my domain, we have forward slash at the end of some canonical URL pages and it takes a lot of time find which URL has forward slash and which doesn’t because redirection only working with exact parameter according to Redirection plugin and If try to create 2 301redirect for a canonical (one with slash & another without) so one of them doesn’t work (maybe issue with plugin or plugin is not compatible to do this job)
So I’m here to ask for the best suggestion on this. Best way to redirect the canonical URL with or without a slash. This shouldn’t bother that slash things.
Please ask if you unable to understand. 🙂
