As of 25th May I have been unable to login to my website dashboard, getting the 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable error message – on several browsers and my phone. The site is still working fine. It is hosted by Fasthosts and I have used the Website File Manager there to disable plugins and de-activate theme, to no avail. (I tried temporarily renaming every other file there, too, no change.) I have also tried changing the password and have cleared browser history & cache and enabled cookies. I haven’t been able to do the other things advised on the WordPress.org page for login trouble because I don’t know how, I’m sorry. I’m not a web developer and I don’t know code. I am using the free Sydney theme and have Wordfence and stay pretty well on top of upgrades. The last Wordfence update prompt came on 24th Sunday evening: * The Plugin “UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore” needs an upgrade (1.16.24 -> 1.16.25). When I clicked through to deal with it on the Monday morning, I couldn’t login.
Any advice for next steps would be hugely appreciated.
