Files that are uploaded directly to the server will not show up in the media library because their info was not added into the database.
You might want to try adding them to your media library using a plugin like add from server https://wordpress.org/plugins/add-from-server/
The plugin page says it is out of date but I just used it two weeks ago and it works just fine with the latest version of WP.

Thanks, I was able to find a very inexpensive solution with WP File Manager. It’s a plugin that allows me to transfer files, (images and mp4 files) easily within my website and the files are visible in WP Media Library. Very, very happy!
