Hi there!
Please go to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS section in your WordPress Admin Area and paste the below CSS there:
#site-generator {
background: none;
border-top: none;
}
This should work. 🙂
That’s perfect! Thanks! It was the #site-generator that had me baffled.

Any way to remove my link above now that this is solved. Would be appreciated.
Hallo there 🙂
Since you have used the “page I need help with” field, that requires login, your link will not be visible to search engines.
You can also learn more in the forum user guide:
Thanks, @carike 🙂
Thanks. Reason I asked is my site is getting hits from India, China and Russia today that show as referrals from WordPress.org. Did not want to create a risk or spamm issue.

The internet is global, and so is WordPress. We have users from India, China, Russia, who also read this forum and help support people too. So yes, they may have looked at your site. People do live in all these countries, you know. 🙂
People around the world build WordPress and help other people use it. Welcome to the global community.
Hi @rebop
I completely understand your concern but this a volunteer forum with helpers from all over the world. So, it is very common to get hits from various countries.
Even I get those hits regularly on my website.
To be fair with all other participants, our guidelines don’t allow us to make this change unless the situation is extremely serious and important. I hope you will understand.
The positive thing is that only signed-in users can see your URL. You should not worry about the hits. 🙂
OK, let’s not be silly with “The internet is global, and so is WordPress. We have users from India, China, Russia, who also read this forum and help support people too. So yes, they may have looked at your site. People do live in all these countries, you know. 🙂”
I’ve been online since 1986. Truth.
I was concerned about being scraped. Since I know, or at least you tell me its not possible, its all good. No need to be condescending.
