You’re using different widgets. “Recent Posts” shows only title and date. “Widget TwentyFourteen Ephemera” shows contents, too.
Steven – Your advice solved my problem yesterday. Today I am making another site based on the same theme and more or less a clone of the first one. On the front page it does not show anything at all and on one other standard page (GODE RAAD) it shows only the headlines.
I have added widgets for both Recent posts and Ephemera.
