FileZilla is FTP/SFTP client,
anyone who has login/password pair can connect and use it.
Usually FTP/SFTP logins are different from WordPress dashboard logins,
if you are using same password – its good idea to change it to something different.
In other words – FileZilla and the way it does access your hosting server has no relation to your WordPress, none. At all.
Its using another service.
I’m just worried that the second admin can view files on my laptop using FileZilla.
Can it be like that?
No, only you can see them.
FileZilla displays your local files only for you (so you can upload them or download files from your site into correct folder on your local disk)
Sorry, I still have 3 more questions:
1. I see there are many plugins that can open FileZilla from WordPress, so can it see the files on my computer?
2. Is the FileZilla application safe? does it not store password etc. when I connect it to my FTP? Even if I click “save the password” in FileZilla?
3. Is the WordPress migration plugin safe (such as the all in one wp migration plugin)? does it not store our passwords and database from the WordPress files that we migrate?
Thank you

they dont use filezilla, they use only your browser to provide file manager functionality ( they use HTTP/HTTPS and do not depend on FTP/SFTP/SSH )
Those which mention “FTP” in their name are used to add uploaded media files into WP media library (create metadata, otherwise uploaded file will be “invisible” in media library)

We are not FileZilla forum, this app is not related to WordPress anyhow.
It can store password in local files or your Windows registry. Some malware (if your computer is infected) can steal those passwords.

You can ask plugin authors for particular plugin of your choice.
Generally plugin authors are asked to avoid unsafe practices.
So, the point Filezilla is safe and nobody can see the files on my computer except me even though they are using FileZilla?

Will each plugin be checked for scripts and security before being published in the WordPress directory?

plugin review team is doing that.

It is so. Should be. Unless your computer is infected with malware which allows unauthorized access, but this is another story, unfortunately – common.
