I’m trying to restore a new client’s WordPress site (obviously not something I normally do), but how can I restore full functionality after a malware infection? Yesterday, it was almost functioning except for admin section of WordPress. When I would try to click anything in the Dashboard, it gave 403 errors on all admin links (as if the admin account or something else was damaged). The site then got shutdown again today due to the backup that was used being infected. If we go back further for the backups, important settings will be lost.
