I am building a new section of my website where I post the PDF version of car owners manuals. The page I linked to above is an example of what the pages look like with the owners manual on them. I build this using CPT UI plugin and then added custom fields to the post for Year, Model, and Style (ie. Coupe, Convertible).
What I would now like to do is create a dropdown search function where people can search by Year, Model, and Style and then it will pull up the specific page. For example, if I did a search for 2008 135i Coupe, it would direct you to the page I linked to above. I am hoping it can work by being able to pull the info from the custom fields I created, but maybe it would be better to make them taxonomies instead? I’m not sure.
I tried finding a plugin that would allow me to do this but couldn’t find anything that worked. Any suggestions on plugins that can do this, or is there a simple way to code it? (my coding skills are minimal)
Thanks for the help!
