Hi!
I have had a problem recently during the ugrading of my website. I was using WP 5.4 when a notification told me 5.5 was out and that I should update. I entered my web admin panel and updated the plugins, and then I hit “Update now” on the WordPress 5.5 notification. The update begun normaly (except for the unsigned wordpress version), but then it got stuck on “Copying files”. I left for an hour or so and it was still there. I opened a new tab and tried to browse to my page, and this showed up
There has been a critical error on your website.
Learn more about debugging in WordPress.
I tried turning on debug mode but it didn’t create a debug log nor showed me a debug message. I tried deactivated a plugin that had caused problems recently but it did not work either (I just renamed its folder so it was deactivated).
Sadly I don’t have a good backup for the actual state of the website, and I would like to restore it rather than creating it again manually (I have a backup of the database and a little more, but not a complete backup).
If you go to the web you will se “Critical error” page I’m talking about.
I have searched in the internet about this problem and I am aware that JQuery is not doing good in 5.5.
These are my web specs:
Plugins:
– Yoast SEO
– WP SMPT Mail
– WPForms (this is the one that caused problems)
– All-in-one backup and migration plugin
– TranslatePress
– Akismet
– Ocean Extra
– Increase Upload Max Filesize
– WP Statistics
Theme:
– OceanWP
I have read about the theme and its readme.txt says it has been tested in 5.5
What should I do?
