Suggest that you enable debugging:
Make believe you’re dealing with a child. I’ve never debugged anything. I installed Query Monitor and attempted the upload so it would capture an error or something. Nothing was logged.
I went into the wp-config.php and inserted define(‘ALLOW_UNFILTERED_UPLOADS’, true);. This allowed the file to upload successfully. However, I can’t get the video to play. So, I suspect the problem is with the file, itself.
Using that code, you have the power to upload files to your site which could theoretically allow malicious users to take full control of your website — any script which the server can process will be executed any time a user visits your uploaded file, so please upload with discretion! Also, unless you trust your entire admin team, do not use this code.
Thanks. I’ll go back in and delete it. I’m going to abandon this effort, and instead upload the video to YouTube and just post the link. That was what I wanted to do, originally, but I was trying to accommodate a request.
